75 km drinking water pipeline in Nigeria



      



The challenge was formulated quickly.
¿ì¸®ÀÇ µµÀüÀ» ºü¸£°Ô °ø½ÄÀûÀ¸·Î ÀÌ·ç¾î³Â´Ù


Potable water should be transferred via pipeline from point A to B. Point A was a manmade lake in the middle of Nigeria and
point B was the Nigerian capitol 75 km (46.6 miles) away.

½Ä¼ö¸¦ ÆÄÀÌÇÁ ¶óÀÎ A ÁöÁ¡¿¡¼­ B ÁöÁ¡À¸·Î À̼ÛÇØ¾ß Çϴµ¥ A ÁöÁ¡Àº ³ªÀÌÁö¸®¾ÆÀÇ Áß¾Ó¿¡ À§Ä¡ÇÑ °Å´ëÇÑ È£¼ö¿¡ ÀÖ°í
ÁöÁ¡ B´Â ³ªÀÌÁö¸®¾Æ ¼öµµ·ÎºÎÅÍ 75km (46.6 ¸¶ÀÏ) ¶³¾îÁ® ÀÖ´Ù.


The use of prefabricated concrete or steel pipes was quickly dismissed, as pipes with a diameter of 3.1m (10.2 ft.) and
length of 12-18m (39.4 - 59 ft.) could not be transported economically through the Nigerian countryside.

¹Ì¸® Á¶¸³µÈ ÄÜÅ©¸®Æ® ¶Ç´Â °­Ã¶ ÆÄÀÌÇÁ¸¦ ½Å¼ÓÈ÷ Á¦°ÅÇϰí 3.1mÀÇ Á÷°æ (10.2 ÇÇÆ®)¿Í ±æÀÌ 12 - 18m (39.4 - 59ÇÇÆ®)
ÆÄÀÌÇÁ·Î´Â ³ªÀÌÁö¸®¾ÆÀÇ ±³¿Ü¸¦ ÅëÇØ °æÁ¦ÀûÀ¸·Î ÀÌ¼Û ÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø¾ú´Ù.


The government then opted for the construction of aspiral pipe-welding factory.

For the internal coating of the newly constructed pipes, the surfaces were first sandblasted and then coated with
an epoxy applied by a WIWA DUOMIX 2-component internal pipe coating unit.

Once the pipes were laid, a second portable WIWA DUOMIX applied an anti-corrosive coating to the weld joints on site.
